Current status of family resilience of family members of patients with postoperative intracerebral hemorrhage and its influencing factors

Abstract: Objective To investigate the current status of family resilience of the family members of patients with postoperative intracerebral hemorrhage and to analyze the influencing factors. Methods From November 2021 to October 2022,202 family members of patients with postoperative intracerebral hemorrhage of tertiary grade-A hospital in Lianyungang were collected by convenience sampling, and they were surveyed by using general information questionnaire,Sense of Coherence-13 Scale,Family Concern Index Questionnaire,Family Adaptability and Cohesion Evaluation ScalesⅡand Shortened Chinese Version of the Family Resilience Assessment Scale. Results The total score of family resilience in 202 family members of patients with postoperative intracerebral hemorrhage was 96.66±8.15. Multiple linear regression analysis revealed that patients’ modified early warning score and length of hospital stay,as well as their family members’ education background,family monthly income,care experience,sense of coherence, family concern, and family adaptability and cohesion were the influencing factors of family resilience（P<0.05）. Conclusion Family resilience in family members of patients with postoperative intracerebral hemorrhage needs to be improved. More attention should be paid to family resilience of family member with less education,low income and no caregiving experience,as well as patients with higher modified early warning score and longer hospital stays,and improving their sense of coherence,family concern and family adaptability and cohesion are beneficial to improving their family resilience.
