Journal of Nursing (China) is a journal listed in the China Science Core Journals Database (Source Journals for Chinese Scientific and Technical Papers and Citations). Published semi-monthly, it serves as an academic journal that comprehensively integrates theories, methods, and practices in clinical nursing, nursing research, education, and management. Since its inception in 1995, the journal has been widely acclaimed by readers and contributors. With the launch of our independent online platform, we have streamlined peer review and revision processes, significantly reducing the time to publication. Regular submissions are typically published within 6 months of acceptance. Priority review is available for manuscripts supported by provincial/ministerial-level or higher research grants. Expedited publication may be applicable only to manuscripts in the final review process. Manuscripts must be submitted exclusively through the official website: http://www.hlxb.com.cn. Submission guidelines are detailed below.

2 Manuscript Requirements
2.1 Manuscripts must demonstrate innovation, scientific rigor, practical relevance, and logical coherence, with clearly stated arguments, reliable data, and accurate evidence.
2.2 Titles should be concise and informative, reflecting the article’s themes. Limit to 20 Chinese characters; subtitles are discouraged, abbreviations, punctuation, and non-standard English acronyms.
2.3 List authors and their affiliations below the title, ordered by contribution (left to right). Include full institutional details (department, city, province, ZIP code) beneath author names. Different institutions and departments needs to be listed separately.
2.4 Use a structured abstract (Objective, Method(s), Result(s), Conclusion) of about 300 words.
2.5 Provide 3–8 key words related to the article’s topic, separated by semicolons (;).
2.6 Follow standardized terms from Medical Terminology (published by Science Press) examined by China National Committee for Terminology in Science and Technology or An English-Chinese Medical Dictionary published by People’s Medical Publishing House. As for drug names, use official names from the latest Chinese Pharmacopoeia (for those made in accordance with the?national drug standards) or An English-Chinese Dictionary of Drug Names compiled by the Chinese Pharmacopoeia Commission (for those produced in accordance with the processing procedures formulated by the drug regulatory department of the people’s government of the province, autonomous?region, or municipality directly under the central government). For English drug names, use International Nonproprietary Names (INN), not brand names.
2.7 Include a brief title for each figure/table. Tables: Ensure clarity in row/column headers; maintain consistent decimal places for data. Figures: Optimal size with a 5:7 height-to-width ratio; ensure clarity, contrast, and alignment with data type (e.g., proper axis labeling).
2.8 Units of Measurement Adhere to SI Units and Recommendations for the Use of Their multiples and of Certain Other Units/General Principles Concerning Quantities, Units and Symbols/Quantities and Units (GB 3100/3101/3102—1993), using standard unit symbols.
2.9 Numerals Follow the General rules for writing numerals in public texts (GB/T 15835-2011)
2.10 Statistical Symbols Comply with GB/T 3358.1-2009 and GB/T 3358.3-2009.
2.11 Abbreviations as specified by the journal may be used directly. For all other abbreviations: At first mention, provide the full Chinese term followed by its Chinese abbreviation in parentheses, or state the full English term followed by its abbreviation in parentheses (e.g., “International Nonproprietary Name (INN)”).
2.12 Format references in accordance with GB/T 7714-2015 (Information and Documentation—Rules for Bibliographic References and Citations to Information Resources), using the numeric citation method (sequential numbering in square brackets based on the order of appearance in the text). Author Listing: For 1-3 authors: List all names in full. For more than 3 authors: List the first three authors followed by “, et al.” (or “, 等” in Chinese manuscripts). Journal Abbreviations: English journals: Abbreviate journal names according to the National Library of Medicine (NLM) standards (as used in PubMed). Chinese journals: Use full journal names without abbreviation.
2.13 Funded Projects Indicate grant titles/numbers and upload approval documents for prioritized processing.
2.14 Include author information at manuscript end: First author: Name, birth year, gender, ethnicity, place of origin (city/province), highest degree, professional title/position, contact details (phone/email). Corresponding author: Same details as above (if applicable).
3. Copyright Policies
3.1 Authorship Rights Submit an institutional letter with the manuscript confirming originality, no confidentiality breaches, no duplicate submission, and no authorship disputes. After acceptance, upload a signed Copyright License Agreement (downloadable from the journal’s website) with all authors’ handwritten signatures.
3.2 Revision Rights Confirm author order and affiliations before submission; post-submission changes are generally disallowed. First authors must upload the Letter of Introduction and the Copyright License Agreement during submission, and register on the journal’s website (www.hlxb.com.cn) with authentic personal information. Proxy submitters must register using the first author’s details.
3.3 Publication Rights The journal is indexed in databases including CNKI, Wanfang Data, VIP Database, and the Superstar Journals Database, etc. Authors who oppose inclusion in these databases must declare so during submission; otherwise, consent is assumed.
