Visualization and Bibliometric Analysis of Dementia Nursing Based of Web of Science

Abstract: Objective To analyze the hot spots and development trend of dementia nursing.Methods We searched literature concerning dementia nursing from 2011 to 2019 from Web of Science and CiteSpace was used to visualize keywords,hot spots,research frontiers and trends.Results Top 10 keywords with high frequency were dementia,older people,care,quality of life,alzheimers disease,people (people with dementia),intervention,depression,health and nursing.Top 10 keywords with the strongest citation bursts were skill,intensive care unit,distress,sleep,fall,mini mental state,nursing student,self-care,end (end of life)and burnout.Top 5 principal clusters of document co-cocitation analysis were acute care,delirium,informal caregiver,heart failure and assessment.Conclusion Dementia nursing witnessed the stage with fast development and innovation and the research focuses on from mental health,quality of life,risk factors of people with dementia,burden,experience,education of dementia caregivers in the early stage;then to long-term care of people with dementia,person-centered care of patient,intervention of people with dementia in emergency department,intervention of cognitive impairment in heart failure patients,palliative care of advanced dementia.The present study hopes to provide reference for the studies on dementia nursing in China.
