Construction of Competency Index System of Key Members of Teachers in Nursing Specialty

Abstract: Objective To construct a quantitative index system for the evaluation of the competency of key members of teachers in nursing specialty. Methods Through literature review and behavioral event interviews, the theoretical research was conducted based on competency model theory, and the competency indicator framework was initially formed. The Delphi method was used to determine the entries, and the analytic hierarchy process was used to determine the indicator weights. Results The theoretical research and interviews confirmed the index entries; 21 experts completed expert consultation, and the effective recovery rate of the two rounds of consultation was 84% and 100% respectively. The authority coefficient was 0.86, and the coordination coefficient was 0.290 and 0.309. Analytic hierarchy process determined that first-level indicators with the weights ranking from high to low were skills, knowledge, motivation, and occupational characteristics. Conclusion The quantitative index system for the evaluation of the competence of key members of teachers in nursing specialty is reasonable, providing a scientific basis for the selection and evaluation of teachers, and it also provides reference for the development of key members of teachers.
