Construction of core competency evaluation index system for community oncology nurse specialists

Abstract: Objective To construct the core competency evaluation index system for community oncology nurses, and to provide reference for the training of grassroots oncology nurse specialists. Methods The core competency evaluation index system was constructed with literature review and Delphi method, and the analytic hierarchy process was used to determine the weight of the indicators at all levels. Results Twenty-seven nursing experts were invited to conduct 2 rounds of letter inquiry. The effective questionnaire recovery rate was 100%, and the expert authority coefficient 0.861. The Kendall coefficient was 0.127~0.296. and 0.146~0.339 respectively (all P<0.001). The final evaluation system consisted of 6 first-level, 14 second-level, and 56 third-level indicators. Conclusion The core competency evaluation index system for community oncology nurses is scientific and reliable, and can provide reference for the training and assessment of community oncology nurse specialists in the future.
