Abstract: Objective To summarize the characteristics, functions and application effects of patient decision aids in patients with inflammatory bowel disease, and to provide reference for relative studies in China. Methods The relevant studies were systematically screened in SinoMed, CNKI, Wanfang and VIP databases, PubMed, EMBASE, Core collections of Web of Science, Cochrane Library and CINAHL. The retrieval period was from the inception to July 2021.The scope review was applied to analyze the literature. Results Eleven patient decision aids were included, which were mainly web-based decision aids and paper-based decision aids. By collecting patient preference information and providing disease-related knowledge, doctors and patients could make joint decisions. The assessment of application value was conducted in terms of the acceptability and satisfaction of doctors and patients and the feasibility and effectiveness of the tool. Conclusion The application effect of patient decision aids for patients with inflammatory bowel disease is favorable. It is suggested that researchers should develop standard and effective tools to improve the decision quality of patients with inflammatory bowel disease and promote its clinical application after the assessment of foreign patient decision aids.
