Abstract: Objective To summarize the types, characteristics and application of assessment tools for unilateral spatial neglect (USN) after stroke at home and abroad. Methods Eight Chinese and English databases were searched systematically, with a retrieval period spanned from the inception of the databases to November 5, 2024. The content of USN assessment tools was extracted for systematic analysis, and the search results were standardized and reported by the method of scope review. Results A total of 27 USN assessment tools were included in 48 pieces of literature that met the criteria, 12 of which were applied in China. Pen and paper test and Catherine Bergego Scale are commonly used assessment tools. Behavioral testing can test USN in real situations; assessment tools with modern technology allowed for a more accurate assessment of USN by creating simulated environments. Conclusion The appropriate USN assessment tools should be selected considering the application context and assessment purpose, and multiple assessment tools should be comprehensively applied to diagnose USN accurately.
