Reproductive Concerns of Young Married Female Patients with Lung Cancer and Its Influence Factors: A 239-case Study

Abstract: Objective To investigate reproductive concerns of young married female patients with lung cancer, and analyze its influence factors. Methods With convenient sampling, 239 female patients with lung cancer in one tertiary grade-A hospital in Tianjin from February to July 2019 were chosen and investigated by using general information questionnaire, Reproductive Concerns After Cancer scale (RCAC) and Social Relational Quality Scale（SRQS）. The influence factors were analyzed by multiple linear regression analysis. Results The total score of RCAC was 58.29±9.84. Multiple linear regression analysis showed that the number of children and social relational quality entered the equation （P<0.05）and explained 30.5% of the total variance. Conclusion The young married female patients with lung cancer have a middle to high level of reproductive concerns. It is necessary to pay attention to reproductive concerns of patients who have no children, but with fertility desire and low quality of social relations. Supportive psychotherapy, couple therapy, fertility information support and other support programs are supposed to help them understand fertility problems and promote their reproductive concerns.
