Abstract: Objective To explore the current situation of diabetic foot knowledge of nurses in regional medical association, and to provide evidence for related training in regional medical association. Methods With convenient sampling method, 322 nurses in 3 regional medical associations from October to November 2017 were investigated by using a self-designed questionnaire of cognition on diabetic foot of nurses in regional medical association. Results The average score of diabetic foot knowledge was 61.8±19.6, with a pass rate of 59.3%. There was significant difference regarding to nurses whether with having related training or nursing experience of diabetic foot patients (P<0.05). Multiple linear regression showed that related knowledge training, nursing experience of diabetic foot patients and attitude towards diabetic foot prevention in regional medical association were the factors influencing diabetic foot knowledge among nurses in regional medical association(P<0.05). Conclusion The current situation of diabetic foot knowledge of nurses in regional medical association is not satisfactory. Related training, nursing experience of diabetic foot patients and positive attitude towards diabetic foot prevention are influence factors. It's important to carry out the homogenized knowledge training, build a resource sharing platform, strengthen the awareness and learning initiative of nurses for diabetic foot prevention, so as to increase the diabetic foot knowledge among nurses in regional medical association.
