Abstract: Objective To develop a decision aid (DA) for patients undergoing cardio valve replacement in prosthetic valve selection. Methods According to International Patient Decision Aid Standards (IPDAS) and previous study, we formulated the draft of DA, and then the final version of DA was formed after 2-round expert consultation. Results Expert positive coefficient of two-round expert consultation was 95% and 95% respectively; authority coefficient of two-round expert consultation 0.947 and 0.944 respectively and coordination coefficient was 0.11 and 0.12 respectively. Mean value of importance ranged from 4.05 to 4.95 and from 3.50 to 4.85 respectively. The final OA consisted of 3 first-level items, including "information related to prosthetic valve", "the basis of decision" and "pre-decision evaluation", 13 second-level and 46 third-level items. Conclusion The DA for patients with cardio valve replacement is reliable and reasonable, which provides reference for helping patients in prosthetic valve selection and promoting doctor-patient sharing decision making.
