Construction of quality evaluation index system of emergency triage based on structure-process-outcome model

Abstract: Objective To construct a quality evaluation index system of emergency triage for clinical practice. Methods With a structure-process-outcome model, the draft of quality evaluation index system was constructed through literature review, field investigation and semi-structured interview. Two rounds of consultation were conducted in 20 experts with Delphi technique and analytic hierarchy process was adopted to determine the weight of indicators of all levels. Results The response rate of two rounds of expert consultation was both 100%; authority coefficient 0.925 and 0.950 respectively, and concordance coefficient 0.170 and 0.196 respectively (P<0.001). The final quality evaluation index system of emergency triage consisted of 3 first-level, 13 second-level and 68 third-level indicators. Conclusion The evaluation index system of emergency triage is scientific and reliable, which provides reference for evaluating the quality of emergency triage.
