Visualization Analysis of Nursing Research Hotspots of COVID-19 in China based on CiteSpace

Abstract: Objective To understand the hotspots and progress of nursing research of COVID-19 in China, and to provide reference for the nursing of COVID-19 in China. Methods We searched the Chinese and English literature about the nursing of COVID-19 published by Chinese authors from January 2020 to June 2021 in the databases of Web of Science, PubMed, CNKI, Wanfang Data, VIP, and CBM. CiteSpace5.7.R5 software was used for visual analysis and knowledge mapping. Results A total of 2,230 Chinese articles and 337 English articles are included. At present, nursing research teams had been formed among the authors, and there was relatively close relationship within the teams but not enough cooperation. Institutions with a large amount of publications were affiliated hospitals of universities in Wuhan, but there was not adequate cooperation between research centers and universities. The analysis of keywords showed that the hotspots of nursing research on COVID-19 were psychological nursing, nursing management, prevention and control of infection. Conclusion COVID-19 covers a wide range of areas, and more cross-regional and international cooperation and exchanges are needed. Infection prevention and control is still a key issue in the fight against the epidemic, and nursing management and post-epidemic psychological support will be the hotspots in the future.
