Effect of Online Practice Teaching in Department of Respiratory Medicine for Nursing Undergraduates during COVID-19 Resurgence

Abstract: Objective To To explore the effect of online practice teaching in department of respiratory medicine for nursing undergraduates during COVID-19 resurgence. Methods A total of 104 nursing undergraduates who had completed a one-week online internship in department of respiratory medicine from May to June in 2021 were involved. After the practice, the teaching effect was evaluated by theoretical examination, survey of satisfaction with online teaching quality, and semi-structured interview. Results The comprehensive score of nursing students was 86.99±5.25, and more than 80% of the nursing students were satisfied with online practice teaching. Conclusion During COVID-19 resurgence, online practice teaching in department of respiratory medicine is conducive to improving the enthusiasm and initiative of nursing students, but further improvement of the teaching is still needed.
