Abstract: Objective To explore the effect of quality control circle (QCC) practice in improving the standard rate of urination management of pregnant women during the first stage of birth. Methods A QCC group was set up in March 2019. The reasons for non-standardized urination management of pregnant women in the first stage of labor were explored through the activities of QCC. We compared and analyzed the difference of standard rate of urination management before and after the intervention. Results The standard rate of urination management of pregnant women in the first stage of labor increased from 51.4% to 80.5% after the intervention. The difference was statistically significant (P<0.001) and the target achievement rate was 114.9%. Conclusion QCC practice can effectively improve the standard rate of midwife's urination management during the first stage of labor and establish a standardized system and process. The innovation, cohesion and problem-solving ability of all the circle members are improved.
