Effect of Quality Control Circle on Reducing Unexpected Replacement Rate of Sensors in Flash Glucose Monitoring System

Abstract: Objective To explore the effect of quality control circle on reducing the unexpected replacement rate of the sensors in flash glucose monitoring system. Methods The quality control circle (QCC) group was set up in July 2019 in our department. Through QCC activities, we analyzed the reasons for the unexpected replacement of the sensors in flash glucose monitoring system. Then target measures were taken and the rate difference of unexpected replacement of sensors was compared before and after the implementation of QCC. Results The unexpected replacement rate of sensors was 5.1%, which was much lower than that (13.8%) before QCC practice(P<0.001). The goal achievement rate was 125.2%. Conclusion The implementation of QCC activities could effectively reduce the unexpected replacement of sensors in flash glucose monitoring system, and improve the comprehensive ability of all circle members.
