Effect of Health Education Based on Behavior Change Mode on Breast Cancer Patients with Endorine Therapy

Abstract: Objective To explore the effect of health education based on behavior change mode for breast cancer patients with endocrine therapy. Methods After the surgery and chemotherapy, 77 breast cancer patients having endocrine therapy from a teritiary grade A hospital were selected and randomly divided into observation group (n=39) and control group (n=38). Routine health education was performed in the control group and health education based on behavior change mode in the observation group. Patient satisfaction and medication compliance in the two groups were compared. Results There was higher rate of medication compliance in the observation group at the end of 24th week of treatment (U=3.771, P<0.05) and patients were more satisfied with the nursing-patient communication, health education and nursing service (P<0.05). Conclusion Health education based on behavior change mode is effective for promoting medication complicance and satisfcation of breast cancer patients having endocrine therapy.
