Abstract: Objective To conduct a scoping review of the readability of breast cancer related health education materials. Methods We collected Chinese and English literature in Cochrane Library, PubMed, Web of Science, CNKI, VIP, Wangfang Data, and CBM from the inception to April 2022. Two researchers extracted and summarized the literature. Results A total of 3,028 pieces of literature were retrieved, and 13 eligible were collected. The readability of most of the materials was above the recommended level of sixth grade. Conclusion There is fewer literature on readability assessment of breast cancer related health education materials. Limited evidence indicates that most health education materials are difficult to read, and there is still inadequate research on readability of breast cancer related health education materials in China.

Key words: readability, breast cancer, health education material, scoping review
