Exercise Compliance and Its Influence Factors in Stroke Patients: A Systematic Review of Qualitative Studies

Abstract: Objective To systematically integrate the influence factors of exercise compliance in patients with stroke. Methods A computer search was conducted for related studies on the influence factors of exercise compliance in stroke patients from PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane library, Embase, CINAHL, PsycINFO, Baidu, Google, CNKI, Wanfang database, CBM and VIP database. The retrieval time was from the inception to November 15, 2021. Two researchers independently screened, extracted and evaluated the literature, and discussed in groups for any disagreement. Results Thirteen papers were obtained and 62 extracted findings were integrated into 6 categories and 2 synthesized findings: 1.factors affecting exercise compliance in stroke patients including personal motivation, personal competence and personal psychological factors; 2.external factors influencing exercise compliance of stroke patients including interpersonal relationship, rehabilitation team and social system. Conclusion It is of great significance to understand the driving and hindering factors of exercise compliance of stroke patients; the breakthrough of promoting exercise compliance will enhance the exercise enthusiasm of patients, and then improve their quality of life.
