Abstract: Objective To investigate the application effect of binaural beat music therapy on anxiety, depression and fatigue in patients with hemiplegia with stroke. Methods A total of 141 stroke patients with hemiplegia hospitalized in the Affiliated Hospital of North China University of Science and Technology from September 2021 to May 2022 were selected and divided into control group with routine nursing (n=47), ordinary music group with ordinary music training and routine nursing (n=47) and binaural beat music group with binaural beat music therapy and routine nursing (n=47) by random number table method. Anxiety, depression and fatigue score of the three groups were observed and compared before the intervention, at the end of 14 and 28 days. Results The anxiety score of the three groups was significantly different (F=21.232, P<0.001); the score of anxiety, depression, and fatigue and the total score at different time points were statistically significant (P<0.001), and there was interaction between the groups and time points (P<0.001). Simple effects, the score of anxiety, depression, and fatigue and the total score of the three groups before the intervention were not statistically significant (P>0.05), and those were statistically significant (P<0.05) at the end of 14 and 28 days of intervention. Pairwise comparison showed that the score of anxiety, depression, and fatigue and the total score in the binaural beat music group 28 days after the intervention were lower than those in the ordinary music group and the control group, and the ordinary music group was lower than that in the control group, showing statistical significance difference (P<0.05). Conclusion Binaural beat music therapy can effectively improve the anxiety, depression and fatigue of stroke patients with hemiplegia.
