Abstract: Objective To investigate the current status of recurrence risk perception of patients with ischemic stroke and analyze its influencing factors. Methods With convenience sampling, 251 ischemic stroke patients were selected from 2 tertiary grade-A hospitals in Urumqi from October 2022 to March 2023. They were investigated by general information questionnaire, Recurrence Risk Perception Scale for Patients with Ischemic Stroke and Chronic Illness Resource Survey(CIRS). Multiple linear regression analysis was used to explore the influencing factors of recurrence risk perception of patients with ischemic stroke. Results The total score of recurrence risk perception of ischemic stroke patients was 88.97±10.47.Multiple linear regression analysis showed that education background, the number of other diseases, the duration of stroke disease, the chronic disease resource utilization entered the regression equation(P<0.05), which explained 28.0% of the total variation. Conclusion The recurrence risk perception of ischemic stroke patients is at a moderate or above level. Education background, the number of other diseases, the duration of stroke disease, the chronic disease resource utilization are the main influencing factors of recurrence risk perception. It is suggested that in addition to providing technical and emotional support to patients, social resources including media, policies, and organizations should be considered to improve the accuracy of patients’ recurrence risk perception.
