Abstract: Objective To explore the current status and influencing factors of osteoporotic fracture risk perception bias in community elderly people. Methods Stratified random sampling was used to select 499 community elderly people from April to June 2022. The related questionnaires of osteoporotic fracture risk perception bias were used to conduct the survey. Binary logistic regression was used to analyze the influencing factors of osteoporotic fracture risk perception bias in community elderly people. Results The osteoporotic fracture risk perception bias was found in 52.3% of the interviewees and no bias in 47.7% of the interviewees. Age(OR=1.361, P=0.018), education background(OR=5.364, P<0.001), osteoporosis knowledge(OR=0.862, P<0.001), osteoporosis health education competence of community nurses(OR=0.685, P<0.001)and with free diagnosis from orthopaedic surgeon or not(OR=1.756, P=0.011)were the influencing factors of osteoporotic fracture risk perception bias of community elderly people. Conclusion There is osteoporotic fracture risk perception bias in community elderly people. Age, education background, osteoporosis knowledge, osteoporosis health education competence of community nurses and with free diagnosis of orthopaedic surgeon or not are the influencing factors of the risk perception bias of osteoporotic fracture in community elderly people. Community nursing staff should pay attention to the elderly people with advanced age, less educated, and inadequate osteoporosis knowledge and without free diagnosis of orthopaedic surgeon. Improving the osteoporosis health education competence of community nurses is conducive to overcoming the osteoporotic fracture risk perception bias of the elderly and promoting their fracture prevention behavior.
