Construction of evidence-based practice teaching index system for nursing undergraduates in low-to-medium resource areas based on core competency

Abstract: Objective To construct an evidence-based practice teaching index system for nursing undergraduates in low-to-medium resource areas based on core competency. Methods After literature review, the draft of the evidence-based practice teaching index system for nursing undergraduates was formed. Seventeen nursing experts were consulted by letter using two rounds of Delphi method. The?analytic hierarchy process (AHP) was used to identify the weight of each index. Results The recovery rate of the two rounds of expert letter questionnaires was 100%. The Kendall concordance coefficient (W) of expert letters was 0.443 and 0.342 respectively. The final index system consisted of 8 first-level, 21 second-level and 42 third-level indicators. Conclusion The evidence-based practice teaching index system for nursing undergraduates in low-to-medium resource areas based on core competency is scientific and reliable, which can provide reference for the development of evidence-based nursing practice teaching in low- and medium-resource areas.
