Abstract: Objective To construct a nursing safety training system for new nurses based on transition shock theory. Methods With transition shock theory, and after literature review, the draft of the training system and the expert consultation questionnaire was constructed. The Delphi method was used to conduct two rounds of expert consultation in 16 nursing education, management and clinical experts. Results The effective recovery rate of the two rounds of expert consultation was 100%. The Cr was 0.9; the Kendall's W 0.269 and 0.250, respectively (P<0.01). After 2 rounds of consultation, the CV of each index ranged from 0 to 0.21. The final nursing safety training system for new nurses consisted of 4 first-level, 25 second-level, and 83 third-level indicators. The first stage of the training (0-3 months after entry) consisted of 32 items; the second stage (4-9 months after entry) 42 ones, while the third stage (10-12 months after entry) 9 items. Conclusion The constructed nursing safety training system for new nurses based on transition shock theory is scientific, practical and feasible, which can provide reference for hospitals to carry out nursing safety training for new nurses.
