Development of Innovative Behavior Incentive Strategies for Nurses Based on Transtheoretical Model

Abstract: Objective To develop scientific and feasible incentive strategies for nurses' innovative behavior, and provide reference for nursing management. Methods The draft of incentive strategies for innovative behavior of nurses was developed after literature review and expert group discussion. The Delphi method was used to conduct two rounds of expert consultation to develop the incentive strategies for innovative behaviors of nurses. Results The effective questionnaire recovery rate of the two rounds of expert consultation was 100%. Expert authority coefficient was 0.890 and 0.902 respectively, and the Kendall coordination coefficients 0.167 and 0.173 respectively (P<0.001).The final incentive strategies for nurses' innovative behavior consisted of 4 first-level,10 secondary-level, and 45 third-level indicators. Conclusion The incentive strategies for nurses' innovative behavior are scientific and reliable and it can provide reference for nursing management to promote nurses' innovative behavior.
