Construction of Perioperative Use of Oral Nutritional Supplements, Follow-up Program for Colorectal Cancer Patients Based on ORTCC Model

Abstract: Objective To construct a perioperative use of oral nutritional supplement (ONS) and follow-up program for patients with colorectal cancer based on evidence and ORTCC model. Methods We retrieved literature on perioperative use of ONS for colorectal cancer patients. After evidence extraction and screening, the draft of the program was constructed based on ORTCC model. Then Delphi method and group discussion were used to determine the final version of the program. Results The effective response rate of two rounds of expert consultation was >95%; expert authority coefficient of the two-round consultation was 0.903 and 0.912, respectively; the Kendall's W coefficient ranged from 0.108 to 0.254, showing statistical significance (P<0.05). The program consisted of 8 first-level and 29 second-level items, covering 5 dimensions including objectives, rules, training, check and culture. Conclusion ORTCC-based perioperative oral of ONS and follow-up program for colorectal cancer patients is scientific and practical. The program can provide guidance for clinical medical staff to carry out perioperative use of ONS for patients with colorectal cancer.
