Abstract: Objective To explore the risk factors of caring depression among caregivers ofelderly dementia patients, and to construct a nomogram model to verify it. Methods From September to December, 2019, 210 caregivers of elderlydementia patients in 6 old-age care institutions in Jinzhou and Shenyang, Liaoning Province, were investigated by using general information questionnaire, Zung's Self-rating Depression Scale, Care Burden Scale, Psychological Resilience Scale and Perceived Social Support Scale. The prediction model of depression risk was established by univariate and multivariate logistic regression analysis, and the nomogram was constructed. The effectiveness of the model was verified by Bootstrap method. Results The detection rate of caring depression in caregivers of senile dementia patients was 54.7%. Binary logistic regression analysis showed that care burden was an independent risk factor of caring depression(P<0.05), while self-assessment of health, psychological resilience and social support were protective factors (P<0.05). The calibration (H-L deviation test:χ²=4.709, P=0.788) and discrimination (AUC=0.976, 95%CI:0.959~0.993) of the care depression nomogram model were good.Conclusion The detection rate of caring depression in caregivers ofelderly dementia patients is high, which is influenced by self-assessment of health, psychological resilience, social support and care burden. The nomogram constructed is scientific and practical for predicting its occurrence.
