Best Evidence Summary of Fatigue Management after Hemodialysis

Abstract: Objective To search, evaluate, and summarize the best evidence related to fatigue management after hemodialysis and to provide reference for clinical development of relevant evidence-based practice. Methods The search for relevant guidelines and evidence synthesis from 7 guide websites including JBI and RNAO, and system review and expert consensus from 12 Chinese and English databases including CNKI and PubMed was conducted, then quality evaluation, screening and integration were completed according to the established principles and procedures. Results A total of 15 articles were included, including 11 evidence synthesis, 3 systematic reviews, and 1 expert consensus. Thirty-two recommendations from seven aspects covering health education, evaluation, diet management, exercise management, sleep management, acupoint management and aromatherapy were summed up. Conclusion The best evidence provides guidance for clinical practice, helps patients reduce fatigue after hemodialysis, and improve the quality of care and quality of life of patients.
