Nursing Collaborative Management under Mode of Whole Construction System in Fighting COVID-19

Abstract: Objective To explore the effect of nursing collaborative management in designated hospital under the mode of whole construction system in fighting COVID-19. Methods We analyzed the challenges in clinical nursing under the whole construction system mode after the outbreak of the epidemic, and coordinated nursing management from the following aspects: improving nursing organization structure, setting up nursing posts scientifically, allocating human resources reasonably, standardizing scheduling mode, implementing regular meeting system, implementing quality management, and carrying out all-round training for all staff. Results Within 24 hours after Optics Valley Branch of our hospital was identified as the designated hospital for the treatment of patients with COVID-19, effective handing over with 17 national medical teams supporting Wuhan for fighting COVID-19 was realized. Whole construction system was established for the management of isolation ward and medical treatment was conducted smoothly. No adverse nursing events occurred and no infection among medical staff was reported. As of 24:00 on March 31, 2020, a total of 1,462 patients with COVID-19 were treated, and 1,282 cured and discharged, with a cure rate of was 87.68%. According to the unified deployment of the epidemic prevention and control headquarters, the isolation wards of the Optics Valley Branch were all closed, and patients who require further treatment are transferred to other hospitals for treatment as required. Conclusion Nursing collaborative management under the whole construction system mode in fighting COVID-19 provides reference for nursing management in the treatment of public health emergencies.
