Ideological and political education in Communicable Diseases Nursing based on deep learning theory

Abstract: Objective To explore the effect of ideological and political education in Communicable Diseases Nursing based on deep learning theory. Methods A teaching team including professional teachers, experts in school-enterprise cooperation and political teachers was established. A teaching model integrating ideological and political education into Communicable Diseases Nursing was built. The observation by supervisors and teachers was performed during the semester. A questionnaire survey was conducted among the students at the end of the course to evaluate the teaching effect. Results The overall satisfaction rate was 95.9% among the students, and 97.7% of the students believed that micro-videos, celebrity stories, and case discussions were beneficial for understanding the ideological and political connotation. 79.1% of the students believed that ideological and political elements played a full role in the teaching. The feedback of the teaching from supervisors and teachers was excellent for its ideological and political education penetration, and expanded ideological and political education path. Conclusion The teaching reform based on deep learning theory enriches the ideological and political education, improves students' ideological and political quality and the teaching effects.
