Abstract: Objective To summarize the application effect and development of moxibustion in chemotherapy-related adverse reactions with visualization analysis. Methods We searched literature in CNKI, Wanfang, China biomedical database and Weipu, from the inception to July 8, 2021 and Excel was used for data extraction in terms of acupoint selection, moxibustion, moxibustion, treatment cycle, treatment timing, temperature control, literature topics and other basic information. Annual distribution trend, research hotspot, author and inter-agency cooperation of the literature were analyzed by using Excel and Cite Space. Results A total of 215 articles were included and there were 7 research hotspots including review, nausea and vomiting, bone marrow suppression, leukopenia, gastrointestinal reaction, breast cancer, ginger moxibustion. Moxibustion was majorly used in adverse reactions after chemotherapy such as gastrointestinal adverse reactions, leukopenia, bone marrow suppression, diarrhea, cancer-related fatigue, constipation. There were 7 types of moxibustion and 21 acupoint selection. The number of papers on moxibustion in chemotherapy-related adverse reactions showed an increasing trend. Conclusion Moxibustion can effectively improve the side effects of chemotherapy, but further study is needed on standardized research design and scheme.

Key words: moxibustion, chemotherapy, adverse reaction, bibliometrics
