Role of PAD Class in Teaching of Introduction to Nursing Science

Abstract: Objective To explore the role of PAD Class in students' autonomous learning ability and critical thinking. Methods A class of 30 undergraduate nursing students in grade 2017 was selected as the subject and the teaching model of PAD Class was implemented in the class. The students' autonomous learning ability and critical thinking ability were compared before and after the implementation of the new model. Results The score of autonomous learning ability and critical thinking ability was 101.28±6.48 and 291.09±28.43 respectively and it was improved significantly after the implementation of the new model (t=6.373,4.112 respectively, P<0.001). Conclusion The teaching effect of PAD Class is good, and it is worth to be popularized in the teaching of Introduction to Nursing.
