Abstract: Objective To investigate the current status of online learning ability of 924 clinical nurses in seven tertiary grade-A hospitals in Henan province, and to analyze its influencing factors. Methods Convenience sampling method was adopted to select 924 clinical nurses from 7 tertiary grade-A hospitals as the research objects from January to March 2021, and they were surveyed by using general information questionnaire and Online Learning Power Scale. Results The total score of online learning ability of clinical nurses in tertiary grade-A hospitals was 223.00 (205.00, 249.00). Multiple linear regression analysis showed that recognition of the benefits of online learning, satisfaction with nursing, clear goals and directions, weekly independent online learning time and regular teaching and scientific research carried out by the hospital entered into the regression equation, explaining 28.2% of the total variation (P<0.01). Conclusion Online learning ability of clinical nurses in tertiary grade-A hospitals is above the average, and the main influencing factors of online learning ability are recognition of the benefits of online learning, satisfaction with nursing, clear goals and directions, weekly independent online learning time and regular teaching and scientific research carried out by the hospital. Improved job satisfaction, relaxed online learning environment, the recognition of the connection between online learning and professional development are beneficial to improving online learning ability of clinical nurses as a whole.
