Abstract: Objective To explore the caring experience of female first-degree relative caregivers of breast cancer patients and provide reference for targeted support and intervention. Methods With descriptive qualitative research method, 16 female first-degree relative caregivers of breast cancer patients were interviewed by semi-structured interviews. Data were analyzed by content analysis method. Results The experience of female first-degree relative caregivers of breast cancer patients was integrated into 4 categories:emotional experience (negative emotional experience and positive emotional experience), risk perception for the self and children (perceived risk, and care for the health of the next generation), health-related behavior (positive behavior and negative behavior), willpower (face challenges and ignorance and escape). Conclusion After experiencing the negative and positive emotion, female first-degree relative caregivers of breast cancer patients concern about the disease risk for the self and children, which transfers into positive health management cognition and behavior, and they also experience challenges and escape.
