Abstract: Objective To integrate authentic experience and opinions of pregnant women participating in Group Antenatal Care (GANC), and measure the feasibility and effectiveness of GANC from the perspective of pregnant women, and to provide reference for the promotion of GANC model. Methods We searched PubMed, Web of Science, PsycINFO, Cochrane Library, EMbase, Scopus, CINAHL, CNKI, Sino-med, VIP and WanFang data for eligible studies on pregnant women participating in GANC from database inception to November 8, 2020. The quality of included studies was evaluated according to JBI Critical Appraisal Tool for qualitative studies, and meta-integration was conducted using the aggregative integration method. Results Twelve qualitative studies were included involving 39 results and 8 categories, then 3 integrated themes were extracted: establishing social supporting network and significant connections; empowering pregnant women and challenges in the promotion of GANC. Conclusion GANC provides reference for the optimization of pregnancy health care mode and the improvement of pregnancy health care quality in China. Practical health care conditions of different regions in China and systematic strategies at different levels of pregnant women, GANC organizers and policies are beneficial to the implementation effect of GANC.
