Abstract: Objective To investigate the neuropsychological characteristics of cancer-related cognitive impairment (CRCI) in women with gynecological cancer. Methods Verbal fluency test (VFT), stroop color words test (SCWT), trail making test A (TMTA), logical memory test (LM), Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS), Chinese Version of the Brief Fatigue Inventory (BFI-C) were conducted to investigate 146 patients with gynecologic cancer (study group) and 112 healthy controls (control group). Results (1)Neuropsychological test showed that time-consuming of stroop test A, stroop test B and TMT-A test in study group were longer (P<0.05) but the scores of VFT and logical memory test were lower in study group than those in the control group (P<0.05);(2)Correlation analysis showed that immediate memory and VFT were negatively correlated with depression (r=-0.164, -0.214, P<0.05) but stroop and TMT-A positively with it (r= 0.183, 0.275, P<0.05). VFT was negatively correlated with (r=-0.267, P<0.05) but TMT-A positively with anxiety (r=0.196, P<0.05). Stroop and TMT-A were positively correlated with fatigue (r=0.258, 0.196, P<0.05). Conclusion CRCI exists in gynecological cancer survivors in varying degrees, demonstrated by the change of attention, memory, language and executive function, and there is correlation between CRCI and anxiety, depression and fatigue.
