Curriculum Humanistic Competence Elements of Undergraduate Nursing Teachers: A Content Analysis

Abstract: Objective To extract the elements of curriculum humanistic competence of undergraduate nursing teachers, and to provide reference for constructing an evaluation index system of curriculum humanistic competence of undergraduate nursing teachers. Methods We searched eligible literature in CNKI, VIP, SinoMed, The Cochrane Library, PubMed, Web of Science, Wanfang, and Superstar Journals Database. Based on onion model and with content analysis method, the elements showing curriculum humanistic competence of undergraduate nursing teachers were extracted. Results Twelve articles were collected, including 5 first-level items of knowledge, skills, attitude, characteristics and motivation, 11 secondary-level and 36 third-level items. Conclusion The curriculum humanistic competence elements of undergraduate nursing teachers are the knowledge, skills, attitude, characteristics and motivation. The evaluation index system of curriculum humanistic competence of undergraduate nursing teachers should be constructed based on these five elements to improve the humanistic teaching of nursing teachers and ensure the quality of curriculum humanistic teaching.
