Development of Nursing Quality Assessment Index System for Patients with Bronchial Asthma

Abstract

Objective To develop a nursing quality assessment index system for patients with bronchial asthma, and to provide reference for the monitor, assessment and management of nursing quality for patients with bronchial asthma. Methods With the structure-process-result theory framework, after literature review and group discussion, the initial system was developed. Then Delphi method and analytic hierarchy process were used to further improve the index system and identify the weight of each index. Results The final version of the nursing quality assessment index system for patients with bronchial asthma was constructed, including 3 first-level, 6 second-level and 27 third-level indexes. Among them, the index of process was with the highest weight distribution in the first-level indexes (0.491), and planning and implementation was the one with the highest weight distribution in second-level indexes (0.327). The positive coefficient of the two rounds of letter consultation was 90.00% and 100% respectively while the authority coefficient was 0.821 and 0.840 respectively. And the coordination coefficient was 0.312 to 0.361 respectively. Conclusion Being scientific and practical, the developed nursing quality assessment index system for patients with bronchial asthma could provide reference for clinical nursing staff to promote continuous improvement of clinical nursing quality for patients with bronchial asthma.
