Objective To evaluate the psychometric property of the palliative care need tools for advanced cancer patients, and to provide reference for healthcare professionals in tool selection. Methods We retrieved literature in Chinese and English databases, and the retrieval period ranged from the inception to June 30, 2024. The methodological quality and measurement properties of included studies were assessed using COSMIN. Results Eighteen studies were included, involving 13 scales, none of which assessed all the psychometric properties. Eleven scales were rated as grade B, and two grade C. Conclusion The included scales present incomplete psychometric properties. The PNPC-sv scale provides better result than the others and is recommended, though further improvement and validation of the existing tools are needed.
